AUDITIONS NOW OPEN

Cambridge Arts Theatre | 13–16 January 2027

We are thrilled to announce that auditions are now open for our 2027 production of Catch Me If You Can: a highoctane, bigband musical bursting with 1960s glamour, sharp storytelling,
and irresistible energy.

Based on the unbelievable true story of Frank Abagnale Jr., this musical is full of style, wit, heart, and movement. It’s a show that rewards bold performers, strong storytellers, and company members who love to throw themselves into ambitious creative work.

For this production, our design and staging concepts are currently under wraps… but we can promise they’re some of the most exciting and innovative ideas we’ve brought to the Cambridge Arts Theatre stage. Successful cast members should expect to learn new physical skills and be part of a company that thrives on creativity, precision, and collaboration.

As always, CaOS is committed to building a diverse, multigenerational company, and we welcome performers of all backgrounds, identities, and levels of experience.

CREATIVE TEAM

Meet our Co-Director and Choreographers

We are extremely excited to have Helen Petrovna and David Barrett join us again, this time for Catch Me If You Can. Previous productions with CaOS include Guys & Dolls, 9 to 5, and Legally Blonde.

We’re thrilled to be able to take a crack at this massive score and we have lots of stylistic plans in the works. We had an amazing driven and “can-do” company for Guys and Dolls and we’ll be looking for the same vibes this time round. Can’t wait. Spreadsheet loading.

Meet our Musical Director

Nicholas Sheehan joins CaOS for the third time after his marvellous work on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Bonnie & Clyde. We cannot wait to work with him again.

Catch Me If You Can has been on my ‘must-do’ show list for many years. I’m so thrilled that the rights are finally available, and that I get to explore this brilliant jazz score with such a wonderful company. I can’t wait to see what the amazing talent of Cambridge and beyond can bring to this show, and to perform live in living colour in January!
